Why books are our best companion?

Books are the great companion and soulmate one can seek at all stages of life. They provide the comfort that people thrive after a tiring day to escape reality. It enriches us with knowledge and enhances creativity. Every book has its essence. Though it might not sound appealing at present it has a profound impact later. There are varieties of genres each with its own perquisite. Books help fight stress, loneliness and fear of overcoming failures. We can find books for every mood. Self-help books set us on the right path, fictional books that create a parallel world, research books to educate ourselves, light-hearted books to cheer up our soul, and spiritual books to find balance in our lives.

Books enable the readers to rationalize their thoughts and diversify the mind. Books act as a medium to break certain stereotypes prevailing in our society. It became a platform for blooming writers to pen down thoughts and influence people through their writings.

The holy books like The Bhagavad Gita, The Bible, The Quran etc are worshipped by people of various religions. The philosophy behind all religions is the same, only the form of god is different. They have the commonality in ideologies as humanity is superior to anything in this world. Any act against humanity is considered to be a sin. It also preaches that kindness is the gateway to wisdom. In the efforts to please God and to achieve serenity one should be selfless and compassionate.

Books throughout the ages had sown seeds for a gamut of revolutions that significantly changed the course of human history. Karl Marx, a great German philosopher, had inspired many ordinary people to transform themselves into mighty leaders. “Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers” this quote by Harry S. Truman turned out to be true by the rise of prominent leaders. Russian and Chinese revolutions were the outcomes of the political ideologies of Karl Marx. His famous work “DAS CAPITAL” made a remarkable impact that gave birth to Che Guevara, Mao, Stalin to fight against the despotic regime.

In precise books are those silver streams which lead to the sea of ecstasy. They are one of the apparent reason that keeps our soul fresh and alive. Readers find solace in books that help them reach the crux of gratification.
